From the Archive: Sensing & Communication

A paper on how the boundary between sensing and communication keeps blurring.

Friends and colleagues often send me papers which they think I would find interesting or which I can abstractly apply to strategy and its implementation. I think this one has been sent to me as I have both a smart home and a leaking roof.

Really interesting paper as it's another example of the boundaries between sensing and communication continuing to blur; creating opportunities for innovation and efficiency. It's similar to how the telephone and the mp3 player ultimately became indistinguishable and the device on which you are probably reading this post on.
